The other husband's back went out so we were down to three. But the three of us wanted to go so to dinner we went. And we had a wonderful time catching up. It was just lovely and with less people, we had time to focus more on each other and not the chaos of a bigger group.
I did hate that the others couldn't attend.
The Time To Go Difference: My mother-in-law came to get the children (and the dog) for an overnight this afternoon. She is wonderful, getting all the things they and the dog would need (including medicine) and calling them to head to the car. My daughter headed straight outside and the dog was ready to get into the car before the door was even open. My son had a bit of a fit, saying no one told him about this with great annoyance. He was told, he may not have been listening or didn't remember, but the plan was set last weekend when he was at their house. Grumblingly, he went to the car. He doesn't like change of plans, even if the plans were planned.
