I just got in a collection of glasses for my daughter. I had her open them all up and try them on. They're all pretty much the same super flexible, soft glasses that look good on her which means they feel about the same all around to her.
But there are lots of colors. The colors are for us, the sighted. For some reason she still likes colors, even though she can't see them at all. She is a marvel to me.
The Fighting Children: This morning there was a row. My son was calling my daughter, "a blind brat" which wasn't very nice. This was because she threw a book at his head—and hitting him—to try and wake him up. This enraged him and a fight ensued. I took away things they cared about and said to work it out civilly and I would consider reinstating the things I took away. In ten minutes they were the best of friends again. Is it too much to ask for kindness?
