They're Back

We get excited when relatives come to visit.  We have great relatives.   But there is nothing quite like grandparents and today, Nana and Papa have returned.  They spend the winter months in Florida but now that winter has passed, they've come north to spend some months with us.

Well, that might be giving us a little more credit than we deserve.   To be sure, they've come to live here and see their friends and do all the things they normally do.   In addition to that, they'll spend some time with us.

Tonight, the children sat on the comfortable new sofa, eager to hear Nana's next installment of one of her story series.   Then, we looked at some photos and showed off some 3D prints.   We kept them up longer than we should have, which meant the children stayed up longer than they should have.  But we all had a good time.

The Big Boy Update:  My son got a cap gun from Nana and Papa.  He loved it.  The dog and his sister absolutely did not love it.

The Tiny Girl Chronicles:  My daughter had the big blue swing flip over on her and she fell on her back, scaring her in the process.   It wasn't that far a fall, but she landed wrong and she was scared.   I laid her on the ground and the dog came over to lie beside her.   Matisse always knows when she's hurt and comes to make her feel better.
