Are We Infected?

My husband hasn't felt well since yesterday.  He's been isolating himself from us and wearing a mask constantly, including sleeping, because he's worried he has COVID-19.  No one else feels ill, but it could easily be COVID-19 given the Omicron ease of infection.   

He would have gotten a test today only we're in the middle of freezing rain all day and things were closed or lines would have been long.   It is very cold tonight, so unfortunately the bit of melting that happened for the few hours it was above freezing means there will be solid ice on the streets tomorrow. 

We are also expecting more much below freezing temperatures but freezing rain to come.   So we're going to keep away from him and let him rest and hope he and everyone will be okay. 

The Big Boy Update:  We turned on the fireplace tonight and my son for some reason wanted to lie naked in front of it with a little blanket lying over him in loincloth or greek toga fashion.   I had to shoo him away after an hour as the rest of the house was growing colder since the thermostats thought it was plenty warm from the fire heat wafting up where the sensors were in the central area of the house. 

The Tiny Girl Chronicles:  My daughter couldn't see how yucky the precipitation we had looked.  It was snow-like in some fashion and so she trudged out in ski clothes to an inch of frozen rain.   She had a good time.  She said she liked it better than snow.
