I'm glad we decided to stay in the hotel we did. Some of the content creators we know that have very large followings and are highly respected in the industry are here. We've been spending time with them. Some of the time the companies will know one or more of us. It's always interesting when they know one of us but not the other. None of us mind that, though, there are so many people working in the industry one way or another that it's not possible for everyone to know everyone.
None of the people we're with have egos that need to be stroked or are easily bruised. We're all one happy family, introducing each other when someone new comes over.
The one downside is that we are being given too much filament. I like filament, but we only have so much room to take things home. Companies also want to give us small things with their branding on them, but we don't do giveaways. Perhaps we will someday but it's not something I want to get into. Collecting addresses safely, doing polls or determining who would win something isn't without complexity and then there's the mailing and shipping costs and it's just a mess I don't want to get into.
I miss the children and our dog.
