Two Turtle Doves!

My parents arrived from the mountains this evening, and we got together and had a low-key but very delicious dinner from Q-Doba, a Mexican restaurant we order ahead from to pick up our meals on the way home regularly.   My parents picked up the meal. And after everyone had made it mostly through their burrito, my daughter said she had a plan for us.

She handed out sheets of paper with the numbers one through twelve on them.  We each got two numbers, all different.  She said those numbers represented which days of the Twelve Days of Christmas you would be singing.  She, of course, would help on all of the verses.

So we started, and my daughter had number one.   My father had, "Two turtle doves" which he managed to sing/say in a voice and tone that we were already laughing before it was even his turn to sing.   We had a great time going through the whole song.  It was genuine, it was spontaneous, and it was fun.   We need an encore for Christmas Eve now!

The Big Boy Tiny Girl Do Not Argue Over The Pets Or There Will Be Consequences:  The children are so good most of the time, but when they argue over who can hold or gets to put somewhere or carry around the pet, I have a very low tolerance.  You must always think of the pet and if it's good for them or good for you?  Treat the pet with respect, especially a pet that can't explain well back how they are feeling.
