The Rock Present

We were over at the new property today, and my husband found a rock he wanted to bring to my daughter. She loved it.  It was a rather large rock, so I suggested it live outside.   Our friend, JC, said it was a good present because it was being brought home today as a gift and then it would be brought back to its original home when we move in a few years. 

The Big Boy Update:  My son came downstairs today and said, "Can someone give me a hug?"  I launched out of the chair to take him up on the offer.  He doesn't ask often. 

The Solo Child:  I found out tonight (although my daughter told me she already informed me) that she had the first solo in a song the city girls choir she's in is doing on Saturday.
